The Annual Charity BBQ & Dance on
Friday 19th June 2009 was a huge success, with numbers well exceeding last year.  The evenings entertainment kicked off with wonderful performances from St Columbas Straw, Primary School & Kilross Primary School.  Children showed off their excellent talents through  various song, dance & musical pieces.  Thank-you to Mrs Regan & Mrs Crossett for their continued support of this event.
Everyone then waited with great anticipation as the ballot took place, with numerous prices available.
Mr J Lagan then took to the stage & danced the crowd well into the night!  An auction later in the evening gave another opportunity to raise more funds to the cause.
Proceeds from the evening are in Aid of CHARIS Intergrated Cancer Care & Respite House, situated at Lough Fea.  The amount raised on the evening will be announced in due course.
The organisers would like to thank everyone who helped in any way to ensure the evening was a great success.

2008

  •  Flower Arranging Classes with James Burnside & funded by Awards For All.
There was a great interest in this beginners class and both Monday & Wednesday nights had full attendance.  The participants soon flurished under the expert guidance of James and each week their confidence grew as did their arrangements!  Over a cuppa & a cake on the last night the groups agreed that they thoroughly enjoyed the class & the challenges that faced them each week.  Some new friendships were made & everyone agreed to continue flower arranging at home.
